Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the My Vision Story mobile application and website at myvisionstory.app (the “Service”), operated by Mikaela, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate and current information during registration.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service, including photos, video clips, vision boards, goals, gratitude entries, and affirmations (“User Content”).

By uploading, posting, or otherwise making available any User Content through the Service, you represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to upload, use, and share that content, and that your User Content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

By posting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service and as directed by you (e.g., sharing with friends or to social media).

You agree not to post content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Is threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Contains hate speech, sexually explicit material, violence, or graphic content.
• Contains malware, spam, or deceptive content.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may suspend account access while reviewing reports. We do not permanently delete accounts as a moderation action without a separate review process.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Mikaela, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written consent.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service.
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation.

7. Community Standards & Moderation

My Vision Story is built for supportive, intentional sharing among friends. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive behavior. This includes, without limitation: harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, spam, scams, and impersonation.

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, use the in-app Report feature (available on user profiles, comments, gratitude entries, and photos—including long-press on vision board and notification photos) or contact us at hello@myvisionstory.app. You may also block users to prevent them from sending you in-app friend requests using your invite code.

We review all reports and aim to take action within 24 hours, which may include suspending account access while we investigate. Suspensions are reversible if we determine an error was made.

If your account is suspended, you may appeal within 14 days by emailing hello@myvisionstory.app. Include the email address associated with your account and a brief explanation. We will review appeals and restore access when appropriate.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

All features are available during your free 7-day trial, measured from the date you create your account. After the trial ends, continued access to the app requires an active subscription. Subscription pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase and is billed through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel an active subscription.

9. Termination

We may suspend your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Suspension restricts sign-in while we review the situation. If a review confirms a violation that warrants it, we may permanently delete your account and associated content, in addition to or instead of suspension. You may delete your account at any time through Menu → Account → Delete Account. Upon termination or deletion, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mikaela, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mikaela, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or violation of these terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state and federal courts located within the jurisdiction of Mikaela, LLC.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms in the app and on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
